This plan works perfectly for travelers who are mildly active and like wildlife, nature, and doing light activities outside. This itinerary includes smooth transfers by road, game drives in specially designed safari vehicles, leisurely walks during visits to cultural sites, and time to relax in between activities.

Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Chimpanzees trackking tour and golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park will be the most difficult things to do physically. Primate families live in different areas, so hiking can take anywhere from one to six hours on forest trails that are sometimes muddy, uneven, and actually quite steep. As long as everyone in the group is healthy, most healthy travelers will be able to do the experience.

During game drives, you have to sit still for long periods of time while looking for animals. You will take breaks often to take pictures and get something to eat. Boat tours, city tours, and visits to spice plantations all involve easy walking on mostly flat ground, so you don't need to be very fit to enjoy them.
