Itineraries
Day 1: Arrive Kigali, Nyandungu Eco-Park, Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial & Transfer to Akagera
You will arrive at Kigali International Airport, meet your friendly Swift Africa Safaris guide, and set off for Nyandungu Eco-Park, a 121 hectare restored wetland with boardwalks, gardens, and birdlife. Next, you will pay respects at the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial (Camp Kigali), a powerful site commemorating ten UN soldiers, an important stop in Rwanda’s story of remembrance and renewal. By mid-afternoon, you will drive 2 to 3 hours east to Akagera, check into your lodge, and relax by the fire as the savannah hums into evening.
