The safari part comes after the quiet days, so you arrive rested. Easy. Cape Town and the Winelands are about driving and sitting, and the safari is done from an open vehicle. Winter safari mornings are cold, so pack warm clothes. The domestic flight uses light aircraft with baggage limits. If either of you has a health or mobility need, tell us and we will plan around it.

Cape Town and the Winelands are at their best from about November to March, when the weather is warm and dry, while the safari is at its best in the dry winter months, roughly May to September. The shoulder months, April, May, October and November, give a comfortable balance. Winter in Cape Town can be wet and windy, and summer in the bush is hot and green.
